JobKeeper 2.0
The JobKeeper Extension has now begun. We have a brief overview of the extension below for you.
Extension 1 (28 September 2020 to 3 January 2021)
- To be eligible you need to have a decline in actual GST turnover of 30% for the September 2020 quarter, in comparison to the September 2019.
- Payment rates
- Tier 1: $1,200 per fortnight
- Tier 2: $750 per fortnight
Extension 2 (4 January 2021 to 28 March 2021)
- To be eligible you need to have a decline in actual GST turnover of 30% for the December 2020 quarter, in comparison to the December 2019.
- Payment rates
- Tier 1: $1,000 per fortnight
- Tier 2: $650 per fortnight
Other things to note:
- You can check your business eligibly using the Xero Jobkeeper turnover calculator or comparing the BAS’s for the relevant period
- You are entitled to Tier 1 if your eligible employee or business participant worked 80 hours or more in the 4 weeks up to 1 March 2020 or 1 July 2020.
- If you don’t satisfy the basic eligibility criteria, you may satisfy an alternative. Give the team at CHG a call or email via the button below and we can discuss this with you further
- If you are already enrolled in Jobkeeper, you do not need to enrol again (provided you’re eligible for the extension)
If you are newly eligible you will need to enrol.
