May – Joint Breakfast Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce – Karen Andrews MP
On 17 May the Creek to Creek Chamber of Commerce members were invited to a joint breakfast hosted by the Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce at the Coolangatta Surf Club, where Karen Andrews MP, Assistant Minister for Science and the Federal Member for McPherson was guest of honour.
Ms Andrews addressed a number of issue;- The Budget had been brought down only two weeks before so the implications for Small Business was discussed. There were questions around infrastructure, NBN and general broadband ineffectualness in the whole area, and the governments support for innovation. Ms Andrews spoke about the difficulty in getting information from the State Labor Government about its intentions about the M1 amongst other issues.
